Volunteer Info & Shift Sign Ups

UPDATE – JUNE 8, 2011

If you would like to volunteer or add a shift, please email our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@mpomc.org rather than completing the form below.

If you need to change or cancel your shift, please do all you can to find a replacement before emailing volunteer@mpomc.org.  We are at crunch time now and need all hands on deck.  Thank you!

For Member Sellers and Non-Member Sellers Alike

We strongly urge anyone who sells at the garage sale to volunteer for at least one shift. This way, you not only help the club give back to the community, but your profits also increase: the more you shifts you work, the more money you keep.

The table below details the percentage of proceeds a seller earns based on the number of shifts worked before or during the sale.

If you work You take home
0 shifts 50% net proceeds
1 shift 60% net proceeds
2 shifts 70% net proceeds
3 shifts 80% net proceeds

Volunteer Before the Sale

In addition to the volunteer shifts during the set-up and sale, we’ve got tons of jobs that need to be done in the weeks leading up to the sale.  If any of these are of interest, please  email our Volunteer Coordinator Caroline de Baere at volunteer@mpomc.org.

Neighborhood Marketing Representative – Post flyers and leave postcards at all the places you normally go around your ‘hood.  Use a handy tracker form to let us know where you’ve been, and then check in to make sure your poster stays up in high-traffic areas.  Neighborhoods still needing reps are:  Larkspur, Ross/Kentfield, Northern Novato, Petaluma, Sonoma, Santa Rosa, Sausalito, San Rafael, and Greenbrae.

Logistics Volunteer(s) – Support the logistics team by making phone calls to reserve rental equipment needed for the sale and other online/phone tasks as needed.

Marketing Volunteers – Support the marketing efforts for the Sale by performing online tasks such as posting the event on online calendars, working with other mothers’ groups, etc.
